Terraria Has Sold 30 Million Copies and Celebrates With a Major Update for PS4, Xbox One, and PC
505 Games announced that the Re-Logic-developed indie sandbox game, Terraria, has sold 30 million copies worldwide across all platforms.
To celebrate the milestone, the team is pushing out a new update that hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the same time as PC. The free update is available now and adds new furniture and armor sets.
The team is also trying to get new players into the crafting sandbox action by launching a video of helpful tips and tricks titled Two Nights in Terraria. This video is aimed at players who want to play solo or with friends and provides them with a quick look at some of the resources they can use in the early parts of their Terraria adventure.
In Terraria, players collect materials and craft items as they find their place in a procedurally generated world. The game is played on a 2D plane and players must dig down deep into the world to acquire resources to survive. There’s also plenty of enemies that they’ll have to survive against as they make their way through several boss battles and encounters.
