Card-Action RPG ‘Teppen’ Reveals Akuma as Newest Playable Character
GungHo Online Entertainment announced a new character for the Capcom co-developed card battle RPG Teppen.
The developer announced that Akuma from the Street Fighter series will be joining the roster on January 7 alongside a new card set titles “The Force Seeker.” The reveal followed the conclusion of the inaugural Teppen World Championship 2019, where Huai-Yong “Last Guardian” Wu took home the winning price of 30M Yen.
This addition also adds new hero skins for Evil Ryu who has been corrupted by Akuma. Also, players can log in from now until January 7 for a login bonus and option to purchase a New Year Selection Pack, which features all of the best cards from previous packs.
The developer also revealed Teppen New Year Cup 2020, which is an online tournament for players to join to earn prizes and Secret Cards with new art.
Teppen is a card-battling mobile game with a real-time battle system that is meant to keep players on their toes and ready to answer to any encounters. The game features iconic characters from Capcom IP with new hand-drawn illustrations.
