The Tekken World Tour 2018 Finals Is Happening in December

Prepare to watch the best Tekken 7 players in the world go head-to-head in one epic showdown. Bandai Namco and Twitch announced the details for the upcoming conclusion of the Tekken World Tour 2018 Finals — happening in Amsterdam at The Theater Amsterdam on December 1 and 2. With marvelous prize money to get and plenty of old and new rivals together, it’s bound to be one unforgettable final bout.

The two days of competition will have Tekken 7 players from the Americas, Europe, and Asia like Knee, Saint, Anakin, HighLow, JDCR, Tissuemon, Qudans (Tekken World Tour 2017 champion), and more, come together to determine who’s the true King of Iron Fist in the world. Unable to make it to Amsterdam to witness all of the action? No worries — the event will be live streamed worldwide via Tekken’s Twitch channel.

If you happened to miss out on qualifying through placement tournaments during the regular Tekken World Tour season, Bandai Namco is giving you another chance to fight your way to the top. All you have to do is compete in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) event on December 1. Just a heads up, though: The event will have a new pool of 256 fighters battle for one finalist spot in the Tekken World Tour 2018 Finals. There will be 20 finalists battling it out for the champion title in the tournament.

Throughout the event, attendees will have an opportunity to meet some of the Tekken team as Katsuhiro Harada, franchise director for the series, as well as Tekken 7 design team member, Michael Murray will be there. Both team members will be signing autographs and taking photo ops.

A limited number of tickets (including Last Chance Qualifier tickets) for the Tekken 7 World Tour 2018 Finals are available for purchase on Eventbrite.

Author’s Take: Tekken 7 is one complex fighting game. If I entered the Last Chance Qualifier tournament I’m sure I’d get destroyed in just seconds. Best of luck to all of the competitors, though!
