Mic Drop! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Reveals April O’Neil as Playable Character

During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021, Dotemu launched a new trailer for the Tribute Games-developed beat-em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, in development for PC and Nintendo Switch, with other platforms to be announced.

The trailer shows off gameplay from a new playable character, April O’Neil. She can swing her bag and keep up with the turtle crew it seems to make her a valuable part of the team. Further, players can look forward to being revived with a slice of pizza from their friends. One of the coolest moves April has is a mic drop by the way.

In partnership with Nickelodeon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will feature all four turtles in a pixel art world that dates back to a classic 1987 design. The game received a trailer that shows off these characters as they prepare for their upcoming adventure. Faith No More’s Mike Patton sings the theme song.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge joins two retro gaming experts: Dotemu, the developer and publisher known for faithful ports and impeccable remakes and continuations of beloved gaming series including Streets of Rage 4 as well as the upcoming Windjammers 2 and highly lauded.

Tribute Games, the studio behind retro-themed original IPs, including Panzer Paladin, Flinthook, and Mercenary Kings, embody classic games’ spirit in new experiences. Tribute Games also houses key talent behind the acclaimed Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game beat-em-up and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game released for Game Boy Advance in 2007.
