Team Sonic Racing Gets New Trailer Showing Characters and Tracks

Sega released a new gameplay trailer for their racer Team Sonic Racing, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 21.

The gameplay highlights characters and tracks that will be present in the game as well as a few in-game features. Players will be able to collect power-ups and coins in orders to get the lead on their opponents. Similarly, players will be able to fully customize their racers which include adjusting the Front, Rear, and Wheels on the car, which each have an effect on the car’s performance.

Team Sonic Racing is developed by Sumo Digital is known for working on Forza Horizon 2 as well as Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Team Sonic Racing will feature fan-favorite characters to choose from as they compete in notable levels from the series. The game will also have multiple and local co-op modes that utilize the dynamic team mechanics as well as the vehicle customization features offered in the game.

Author’s take: I’m excited to see a new Team Sonic Racing coming and hope that it takes a few steps towards differentiating itself from the other racers out there. I don’t think they’ll have an issue with this, but here is to hoping.
