Tales of the Abyss Announces Alcohol Gacha

Bandai Namco has announced a collaboration with Krand for a sake gacha for Tales of the Abyss. Essentially, participants will pay a fee and be delivered a package of alcohol, but the exact types they will receive are random. Of course, the event is exclusive to Japan, with it starting on August 10, 2023.

Maybe the bottom of one of the bottles will have a secret note announcing Tales of the Abyss Remaster. That would be some wild marketing. Details on how this collaboration exactly ties into Tales of the Abyss weren’t stated, but perhaps there will be sake themed on the characters.

Tales of the Abyss is one of the most well-known and beloved entries in the franchise. It initially launched for PlayStation 2 before seeing a surprise 3DS port. Sadly, like countless other titles in the series, it is stuck on older hardware.

The anime was recently fully uploaded onto YouTube for free with English subtitles.

Tales of Symphonia was initially released for the Gamecube worldwide before receiving a Japanese-exclusive PlayStation 2 version that added more content. That same version would launch worldwide for PlayStation 3 and then eventually PC via Steam. This upcoming remaster is using the latest versions as the basis, though several new features are arriving, such as skippable anime events and improved maritime navigation.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
