Tales of Symphonia Remastered Switch Patch Announced for Tomorrow; Will Fix Unspecified Issue Hindering Game Progression
Bandai Namco has announced that a new update for the Nintendo Switch version of Tales of Symphonia Remastered will launch on October 19, 2023, at 11:00 Japan Standard Time.
The only note for this update is that it will fix an unspecified issue hindering game progression. It’s unclear what this refers to, but it’s worth emphasizing that this update will only apply to the Switch version of the title.
Tales of Symphonia was initially released for the Gamecube worldwide before receiving a Japanese-exclusive PlayStation 2 version that added more content. That same version would launch worldwide for PlayStation 3 and then eventually PC via Steam. This upcoming remaster is using the latest versions as the basis, though several new features are arriving, such as skippable anime events and improved maritime navigation.

New formal attire artwork for the cast was also unveiled.
