Tales of Symphonia Manga Now Digitally Available; Japanese
Bandai Namco has announced that the official Tales of Symphonia manga series by Hitoshi Ichimura is now digitally available for purchase in Japan via multiple services, such as Book Walker. Additionally, the first volume is free until February 28, 2023, while the others cost roughly ¥585 – ¥596 each.
Tales of Symphonia has received several manga releases, yet this specific one by Ichimura adapts the source game’s storyline, showcasing the events that new players will experience in the Remastered launch arriving later this month.
Bandai is clearly embracing a multi-media approach with Tales of Symphonia to promote the aforementioned Remaster when considering not only this manga distribution but also the anime being freely uploaded onto official YouTube channels.
Tales of Symphonia was initially released for the Gamecube worldwide before receiving a Japanese-exclusive PlayStation 2 version that added more content. That same version would launch worldwide for PlayStation 3 and then eventually PC via Steam. This upcoming remaster is using the latest versions as the basis, though several new features are arriving, such as skippable events and improved maritime navigation.
