Tales of Series Solo Title Event Broadcast Announced for Thursday; We Don’t Know What This Is
The official Tales of event Twitter account has shared an intriguing tweet leaving many uncertain and anxious. The contents of the post are rather vague, and after asking multiple translators, the following is what we have decided on:
“Solo Title Event announcement
Scheduled to start Thursday, August 10, at 8 PM JST
The Tales of Series Solo Title Event Announcement Live Stream!!
New Event Announcement Live Stream Final Plans!!
Look Forward to our Special News Program
Appearing – Masaya Onosaka & Biba-Kun”
So, just to be abundantly clear here, this tweet does not clearly imply that this broadcast will announce a new game. Its wording is vague, so we can only speculate. Some Japanese fans think this news may relate to the 20th anniversary of Tales of Symphonia, but, once again, nothing here necessarily implies that. For all we know, this could be an announcement related to a gacha game or merchandise.
In late December 2022, Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn was trademarked in Europe, so perhaps this will be some news about that? Interestingly, this filing has been updated, with the European Union trademark having registered and published it on April 25, 2023.
We’ll keep you all updated on what this announcement broadcast will exactly contain but don’t get your hopes up. Sadly, the Tales of series has been on a downward spiral in recent years, so a new port announcement or such would be stellar, but that also sounds too good to be true.
In one of the worst cases imaginable, maybe this is related to the recent Tales of the Abyss alcohol gacha.

Check out our review of Tales of Symphonia Remastered on Nintendo Switch.
The anime was recently fully uploaded onto YouTube for free with English subtitles.
Tales of Symphonia was initially released for the Gamecube worldwide before receiving a Japanese-exclusive PlayStation 2 version that added more content. That same version would launch worldwide for PlayStation 3 and then eventually PC via Steam. This upcoming remaster is using the latest versions as the basis, though several new features are arriving, such as skippable anime events and improved maritime navigation.
Tales of Symphonia Remastered is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
