Tales of Luminaria First Information Broadcast; No Character Gacha, English Voice Cast, Gameplay, and Much More Revealed

During today’s first live broadcast for the newest upcoming mobile entry in the Tales franchise, Tales of Luminaria, a variety of exciting information was revealed.

We compiled the most noteworthy announcements below:

  • Composer Go Shina will be returning to this entry
  • 2 Factions – Empire and Federation
  • Power Source comes from Primordial Beasts
  •  21 main characters with the character designer being Shun Saeki, most notably known for Food Wars
  • 3 Factions of characters
    • Federation characters are students with a singular sensei, and they activate their mystic artes activated by their “embleo” tattoos
    • Empire characters are part of the military and activate their mystic artes with “reactor” items
    • Adventurer characters are not affixed to the prior 2 factions and are on their own
  • Leo Fourcade is voiced by Aaron Dismuke
  • Celia Arvier is voiced by Cristina Vee
  • Hugo Simonis voiced by Eric Vale
  • Characters will have episodes from their perspectives and will span around 60 minutes each
    • Suspend features will be available so players can leave an episode in the midst of its playtime and resume later
    • Episodes will release weekly
    • Each character will have 8 episodes
    • Special episodes will be unlockable by fulfilling certain requirements
  • Characters are not tied to gacha (but gacha may still be present in other ways)
  • The developer of the title was revealed to be COLOPL, Inc.
  • Tales of Luminaria The Fateful Crossroad Animation announced
  • Partnership with Funimation
  • Funimation Blog will reveal further information on the English voice cast
  • Pre-registration is now available
  • More information on Tales of Luminaria will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show
