Tales of Crestoria Can Be Downloaded Now, Scheduled to Launch Following Maintenance
Bandai Namco has announced the players can download their mobile RPG Tales of Crestoria now for iOS and Android devices, with a tentative launch for later in July.
Tales of Crestoria was recently delayed after the game wasn’t up to the developer’s standards, but the team gave no indication when it will be available. However, it seems like players can pre-purchase the free-to-play game now in certain regions. Some players are receiving a July 22 release date, but that has yet to be confirmed.
The publisher shared that fans can pre-download the game now, but it is undergoing maintenance for the official launch.
The story of Tales of Crestoria has players meet Kanata Hjuger, Misella, Vicious, Yuna Azetta, Orwin Granberg, and Augis Alver as they embark on a journey across the region. Kanata and Misella are accused of a crime and dubbed transgressors; this leads them on a quest where they encounter other characters, including characters from previous Tales titles. These characters fight back against the rules of their world through the main story.
During gameplay, players can add characters from across the Tales series to use in battle. The battle system uses a turn-based system where players will need to take advantage of enemy weaknesses as they charge their mystic arts. Additionally, fans will find that character interactions return following the battles where characters typically say cute things. Character models can also be customized with accessories.
Additionally, the main characters’ breadth of emotions has also been expanded so that they can express themselves further during the story. The cast has also received illustrated cut-ins to highlight the drama of their quest better.
