As shown on Steam’s game stats, which tracks the player count for its myriad of titles across its platform, it has been revealed that the latest entry in the Tales franchise, Tales of Arise, has achieved over 45,000 peaked players today. This is an especially notable occurrence since this number surpasses the combined player amount of each of the other Tales games’ Steam ports together, which is around 22,000.
Congratulations to Bandai Namco for this historic landmark achievement, and hopefully, this leads to further PC treatment for Tales in the west. Thankfully, the Steam port of Arise seems to be qualitative, so players of the title there can enjoy this fantastic entry in all its glory.

If you missed it, check out our positive review of Tales of Arise’s PlayStation 5 version. We also have an impressions piece available for those who don’t desire to read or watch a full review.
Tales of Arise advances the graphics with this new “Atmospheric Shader,” which is meant to present the world as if it were a hand-drawn painting. Further, the combat has evolved, allowing for a better sense of spectacle and direct player feedback based upon their actions. Finally, the graphics, combat system, characters, and story combine to present a vivid and realized world that the developer hopes will immerse players.
Tales of Arise has launched worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
There is also a variety of bonus content available with the game’s full release, such as DLC outfits based on Tekken, Code Vein, and The Idolmaster for the girls.
