The official Twitter account for Tales of Arise has announced that Shionne, Rinwell, and Kisara will be receiving DLC costumes based on Code Vein, The Idolmaster, and Tekken, respectively. These costumes are currently only available when purchasing the Digital Ultimate edition of Tales of Arise. However, I suspect that they’ll be individually available for purchase at some later point, albeit probably for higher prices when scaled individually.
Each member of this title’s cast seems more distinctive and conceptually engaging than prior entries, at least at first glance, so here’s hoping their characterizations are worthwhile to experience once the full game releases in September of this year.
Tales of Arise advances the graphics with this new “Atmospheric Shader,” which is meant to present the world as if it were a hand-drawn painting. Further, the combat has evolved, allowing for a better sense of spectacle and direct player feedback based upon their actions. Finally, the graphics, combat system, characters, and story combine to present a vivid and realized world that the developer hopes will immerse players.
Tales of Arise is launching worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on September 10, 2021.
