Tales of Arise Receiving Free Demo on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in Mid-August; No PC
The official English Twitter account for Tales of Arise has announced that a free demo for the upcoming action JRPG will be releasing on August 18, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Unfortunately, the Steam version of the title was not announced to be receiving a demo which is rather disappointing. Still, at least other prospective platform purchasers can get a slight, first-hand taste of what to expect from the title before it fully releases next month. Furthermore, this demo is also releasing only roughly 3 weeks before the game’s official launch, granting a slim window of prior availability, potentially to engrave itself in interested players more effectively.
Tales of Arise advances the graphics with this new “Atmospheric Shader,” which is meant to present the world as if it were a hand-drawn painting. Further, the combat has evolved, allowing for a better sense of spectacle and direct player feedback based upon their actions. Finally, the graphics, combat system, characters, and story combine to present a vivid and realized world that the developer hopes will immerse players.
Tales of Arise is launching worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on September 10, 2021.
