Moral Anxiety Studio released a new trailer for their upcoming pixel art visual novel Tales From Windy Meadow, coming to PC-via Steam on December 20.
The trailer shows characters and gameplay from the visual novel that centers around a slice-of-life story about choosing your path and living in a community. Throughout the game, players will help the three protagonists, Vena, Fabel, and Ludicia, decide what they are going to do with their future.
Gameplay features a choice system where players will change the game’s narrative based on the decisions they make during dialogue. Tales From Windy Meadow also features multiple character routes and endings.
The story is said to include “heart-warming scenes” of coziness and melancholy, which is complemented by the game’s design direction and music.
Moral Anxiety Studio is an indie developer who has previously released a game called “The Tavern“. The game received mixed reviews, but it seems that the players generally liked the writing.

Author’s take: This game seems fairly interesting as a rarely see visual novels being told using character sprites in the west, with most indie studios using assets from Ren’Py. So we’ll give this game a look and see what kind of story it tells.
