TailsTube Episode 2 Available Discussing Dr. Eggman’s History; IGN Sonic Frontiers News Delayed to Tomorrow
The official Sonic the Hedgehog media accounts have shared a new episode of TailsTube, essentially a series where Tails and episode-centric guests explain specific parts of the series’ lore. This episode primarily highlights Eggman’s history and characterization and his involvement with the main cast. Interestingly, his name is specified as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, with Eggman being a name that stuck from Sonic’s teasing. The former decided to stick with the name solely to avoid the latter’s harassment.
His grandfather is also briefly mentioned as the creator of Shadow the Hedgehog, with references to Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Forces, and the Shadow the Hedgehog game being made. Further, Eggman temporarily hijacks the TailsTube stream to deliver that aforementioned Shadow lore.
Moreover, the previously mentioned Sonic Frontiers insight by Sonic Team’s creative officer, Takashi Iizuka, has been delayed to tomorrow by IGN Senior Editorial Producer Mitchell Saltzman to make the delivered Sonic content better paced.

Additionally, the release date has been confirmed as June 23, 2022, Sonic’s birthday.
