Tactical RPG ‘TAMAKAGURA: Tales of Turmoil’ Coming West Next Week

Shiravune has announced the release date for TAMAKAGURA: Tales of Turmoil. The English and Chinese edition of the tactical RPG developed by Debonosu Works will be available on PC via Steam and Johren on August 26, 2022. The Steam version will be censored while Johren will feature an edition with the adult content and a free 18+ patch for Steam players.

TAMAKAGURA: Tales of Turmoil tells the story of a freelance exorcist called Yuuma Nagumo. After his childhood friend suddenly gains exorcist powers, he’ll now be forced to fight side by side with her and another priestess to protect the village of Inakibi from evil youkai forces.

Yuuma’s childhood friend, Yukari Kaburagi, is voiced by Haru Aoi (Koinaka Lovers’ Nonohara Mio). Meanwhile, the priestess, Chihaya Inudo, is voiced by Tsuruya Haruto, whose various works include Rance 03’s Maria Custard, A Clockwork Ley-Line’s Rito, and Maggot Baits’ Matsumaru Serika.

The strategical RPG system has players mastering five elemental types and capturing enemy youkai. By using these allies strategically and fusing them with one another, the characters may fight to the best of their ability and win against the odds. An exorcist arts gauge is also available, adding a powerful trump card for players to unleash upon the battlefield. If your allies die, Yuuma will get a buff to his stats due to rage.

Shiravune still has two titles already announced: Debonosu Works’ Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath, and Escu:de’s HimeYoku: A Sacrifice of Lust and Grace. Both are slated for a late autumn release, with eight more games also planned for the end of 2022. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on their upcoming titles.
