Tactical RPG ‘Project Triangle Strategy’ Announced in Debut Gameplay Trailer

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix announced they will develop Project Triangle Strategy was announced for Nintendo Switch with a demo available now and the game coming in 2022.

The game takes place on the continent of Norzelia comprised of Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante. The regions fight over salt and iron, which began the Saltiron War, now years later, the threats of war reemerge as groups of knights from each region join together to fight. During gameplay, players will find themselves navigating a classic grid-based map.

The turn-based battle system will also feature environmental systems where players can directly affect the world around them. Characters can link attacks together to utilize the elements and cause greater damage or find ways to navigate the battlefield quicker.

While speaking with other characters, players will make choices the weighs on their morality and affects the story. The nations will vote on various aspects of the player’s choices and not all characters will be happy about it.
