Polish developer Mass Creation has revealed the Steam page for its roguelite action game, Swords & Slippers. A new trailer introducing Rapunzel was also released.
Swords & Slippers features characters inspired by Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and other fairytale heroines, each with their own distinct combat style. For instance, Snow White wields a dwarven pickaxe, Red Hood transforms into a wolf, and Rapunzel attacks using her sentient hair.
Combat emphasizes fast-paced character action, allowing players to swap between characters in the middle of combos to extend attacks while building a style meter.
Each roguelite run begins at dawn, with players collecting elemental abilities and other upgrades as they progress. Enemies grow stronger throughout the day, culminating in more dangerous encounters and greater rewards by midnight.
Between runs, players return to a castle where they take on the role of Prince Charming. Here, they can build relationships with the heroines, learn their stories, and influence the narrative through their choices. Romance options are available, though the game warns that the Prince’s cursed charm can cause affection to spiral into dangerous obsession.
