Action RPG ‘Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant’ Launches Kickstarter to Fund Physical Release; New Gameplay Trailer Streamed
Grimorio of Games launched a Kickstarter to help fund their upcoming title, Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant, in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The company is seeking around USD 16,000 to help fund the game’s physical release for Switch, PS4, and PS5. In addition, there are additional stretch goals for more features and ways to unlock new weapons and skins through a social campaign for all backers. Further, the campaign will have the game available at a lower price.
Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant is a sequel to the rogue-like adventure Sword of the Necromancer. The story has players fighting to restore the Sacred City of Euda to its former glory. During gameplay, players will find an updated action RPG battle system that can explore 3D dungeons and towns. Further, a town creator, which resembles Dark Cloud, is a pretty surprising system.
Players can play the game solo or in local co-op. Equipment and party member can be customized and upgraded throughout the adventure. Still, the game does resemble a Nintendo DS-era RPG.
