Action RPG ‘Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection’ Revealed as 3D Remake of Original Game

Grimorio of Games announced they will release Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection on PC via Steam and consoles soon. Initially, a Kickstarter stretch goal for the game’s sequel, Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, will be an action RPG 3D remake of the original game. The developers hope this will hold players off while they continue to work on the true sequel, Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection brings an enhanced version of the original dungeon crawler game to life in 3D, utilizing Revenant’s engine for a fresh experience. This reimagined adventure allows players to dive deeper into the tragic love story of Tama and Koko with added depth, thanks to new scenes, remastered illustrations, and voice acting in both English and Japanese. The game introduces refined mechanics and systems, such as customizable AI for summoned monsters, providing a richer gameplay experience. Additionally, completing the game unlocks special rewards in Revenant, including the ability to summon bosses from the remake.

Developed for a wide range of platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series, Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection expands on its predecessor’s unique feature of reviving enemies to fight alongside the player. The game emphasizes strategic planning and customization, offering players improved combat combos and an innovative companion AI system. It also supports local co-op play, allowing for shared adventures in uncovering Tama and Koko’s past and battling through the dungeon’s depths. Fans can look forward to a dynamic third-person 3D Action Dungeon Crawler that blends challenging encounters with a compelling narrative.
