Tactical RPG ‘Sword Legacy: Omen’ Gets August Release Date and New Trailer
Team 17 announced that the Firecast Studios and Fableware Narrative Design developed turn-based tactical RPG Sword Legacy: Omen will launch on PC-via Steam on August 13.
Sword Legacy: Omen is set in the candlepunk realm of Broken Britannia. The title features comic-inspired visuals as it retells the story of King Arthur mythos including all the bloody battles that take place along the way.
Players will follow Uther Pendragon as he fights across Broken Britannia. Joined by a “band of misfits”, Uther is on a quest of revenge for his fallen lord as well as to recover Excalibur.
The battle system uses a grid-based map and has player position their units around the map to take advantage of the unit’s strength and exploit enemy weaknesses. Each unit has different strengths as well as equipment for players to utilize in battle.
The announcement trailer shows a few of the battle scenes along with the in-game flow of battle.

Author’s take: You find out soon enough that I am huge sucker for tactical RPGs, and Sword Legacy: Omen is no exception. I remember hearing about this game awhile ago, I’m glad to see that it’s getting an official release, now what will it take to get it on console…
