Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Reveals Upcoming Story DLC and Content in Trailer

Bandai Namco released a new teaser trailer for their action RPG Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris, coming soon to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam.

The trailer highlights the additional scenarios being added to the game, with the main story revolving around what is titled Ancient Apostles: Reaper of the Woods. This event has players join up with Sinon and take on a new boss called Fatal Scythe. The scenario was written by Violent Evergarden-writer Kana Akatsuki.

Additionally, three more scenarios featuring Tiese, Selka, and Silica respectively were also revealed. The first DLC will be titled Blooming of Forget-me-not and will come at a later date.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris begins with Kirito entering a mysterious new world known as the Underworld. In this place, NPCs behave more like humans. As Kirito, players will be able to experience the scenes from the anime arc where Kirito encounters Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, and other characters.

The game will be an accurate retelling of the anime series. During the game, Kirito will find himself in the “Underworld”, a mysterious virtual world that is established during the Alicization arc from the anime. The game will feature memorable battles and an expansive world to explore as Kirito fights through this new adventure.
