Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Revealed With Story Details and Western Release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC Confirmed

Banda Namco announced that newest installment in the Sword Art Online franchise titled Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris will launch in the wist on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam at an announced date.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris allows players to assume the role of Kirito, the series protagonist, and get immersed in the “Underworld”, a mysterious virtual world that is established during the Alicization arc from the anime. The game will feature memorable battles and an expansive world to explore as Kirito fights through this new adventure.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris begins with Kirito entering a mysterious new world known as the Underworld. In this place, NPCs behave more like humans. As Kirito, players will be able to experience the scenes from the anime arc where Kirito encounter Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, and other characters. The game will be an accurate retelling of the anime series.

For the first time in a Sword Art Online video game, players will be able to faithfully follow the events of the anime series.” said Jennifer Tsang, Brand Marketing Manager at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. “We look forward to players and fans experiencing the Alicization story arc as Kirito, uncovering the mysteries of Underworld, and making new friends along the way.”
