Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Launches Free Story Content: The Knight of Contradictions With New Trailer

Bandai Namco has launched a trailer revealing the newest story content for their action RPG Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris, available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam.

Titled Ancient Apostles: The Knight of Contradictions, players who update to version 1.30 will receive a host of new content and bug fixes.

The new content includes the free story update #2, Ancient Apostles: The Knight of Contradictions along with a new Tiese reward costume and Finish Arts. Players will also be able to face off against a new boss. The story content can be started after finishing Ancient Apostles: The Reaper of the Woods.

Additional patch notes include fixes for the online connection in multiplayer, along with various new enemies and level caps for weapons. There were also bug fixes that stopped players from progressing in certain areas.

Two more story DLC are planned, the next being The Bruised King.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris begins with Kirito entering a mysterious new world known as the Underworld. In this place, NPCs behave more like humans. As Kirito, players will be able to experience the scenes from the anime arc where Kirito encounters Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, and other characters.

The game will be an accurate retelling of the anime series. During the game, Kirito will find himself in the “Underworld”, a mysterious virtual world that is established during the Alicization arc from the anime. The game will feature memorable battles and an expansive world to explore as Kirito fights through this new adventure.
