Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Gets New Trailer Showing How Players Command AI in Battles and New Modes

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for their action RPG Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on May 22, 2020.

The trailer details the game’s “Tactical Learning AI System,” a new system that enables the members of your party that you aren’t controlling to memorize moves from the commands you send them. Over time, this improves their actions in fights.

Additionally, players get a chance to see the Underworld played with friends in the game’s Multiplayer mode. Players are able to create a party of up to 4 players to show off their own avatar and run missions together. Also, Bercouli, Fizel, and Linel can join the battle as the game’s newest playable characters.

Lastly, Singer ReoNa, whose single “forget-me-not” was used as the second ending theme to the anime series Sword Art Online: Alicization, will sing the main theme of Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris begins with Kirito entering a mysterious new world known as the Underworld. In this place, NPCs behave more like humans. As Kirito, players will be able to experience the scenes from the anime arc where Kirito encounters Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, and other characters.

The game will be an accurate retelling of the anime series. During the game, Kirito will find himself in the “Underworld”, a mysterious virtual world that is established during the Alicization arc from the anime. The game will feature memorable battles and an expansive world to explore as Kirito fights through this new adventure.
