Switch Exclusive ‘Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE’ Featured in PlayStation 2023 Holiday Cards

Sony recently shared the official 2023 Season Greeting Cards, featuring salutations from various developers and publishers. Square Enix, Insomniac Games, Bandai Namco, Capcom, and more are featured.

The cards are comprised of artwork showcasing prominent and recent titles from these studios. Still, even with that being the case, one studio stands out: Spike Chunsoft.

Spike Chunsoft’s official PlayStation 2023 Greeting Card features characters from their most recent mystery adventure, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. However, this game is currently Nintendo Switch-exclusive, and there are no announcements of a potential PlayStation port.

In fact, back in March 2023, Kazutaka Kodaka commented that there are no current plans to bring Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE to non-Switch platforms.

While this new image doesn’t imply that such a release will occur in the near future, it’s definitely an interesting choice to feature these characters on a PlayStation card.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE has players control an amnesiac detective who is followed by a Shinigami and solves cases by examining crime scenes and evidence. The Shinigami will create a realm connecting the crime scene to the truth. Mystery Phantoms will try to impede your progress, and defeating them by utilizing the truth is the only way to go.

The gameplay comprises exploration throughout the Kanai Ward, which is entirely 3D. Players will have to examine several crime scenes and other locations alongside interviewing involved parties. Hidden clues are emphasized as being hidden via specific camera angles.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is exclusively available on Nintendo Switch.
