Survival Sandbox ‘Among Trees’ Comes to Epic Games Store Early Access This Summer

FJRD Interactive announced that their survival sandbox Among Trees will be heading to Epic Games Store Early Access this summer on PC.

Among Trees has been in development for the past three years, with the Early Access of the game offering a way for the developers to fine-tune the experience. The game puts players in a forest where they’ll begin their life. As time passes, they’ll be able to expand their cabin and build new rooms as well as unlock additional game mechanics like cooking skills, tool crafting, and gardening skills.

Through Among Trees, players are encouraged to explore and make new discoveries. The surrounding forest is full of life, but also contains caves and valleys to explore. However, given that this is a survival game, players must also scavenge for food, catch fish, and chop trees for materials. There’s also the threat of bests that roam around in the forest, which requires players to stealthily make their way through the trees.

For now, the game’s Early Access is exclusive to Epic Games Store. There were no details provided on how long the team plans to stay in Early Access or if the game will release on other platforms.
