Survival Horror ‘Saturnalia’ Gets 2021 Release Window in New Trailer

The Quantum Astrophysicists Guide announced that the Santa Ragione Srl-developed survival horror Saturnalia will launch in 2021 on PC-via the Epic Games Store. With other platforms to be announced.

In a trailer shared by the developer, Saturnalia is given a 2021 release window, which marks a slight delay from its previous Q4 2020 window. The trailer invites players to “Join the Ritual” and gives viewers a preview of the environments that they’ll be able to explore and investigate. Further, some of the lore is delivered through narration and a look at the four playable characters.

In Saturnalia, players will play as four characters who each have a connected storyline that ties back to the haunting traditions of an ancient village. Influenced by Sardinia’s folklore, players will have to navigate the maze-like village, which is procedurally generated containing mysteries and various ways to progress.

Each death will change the form of the town, but players will need to solve puzzles, open shortcuts with tools, and unravel the narrative as the different characters through gameplay. Oh, and there’s these monsters hanging around that can kill you too.

We’ll keep you updated on the development and release of Saturnalia.
