Deep Silver Reveals Survival Adventure ‘Windbound’ With Gameplay Trailer and Release Date

Deep Silver announced they will publish the 5 Lives Studios-developed adventure survival game, Windbound, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on August 28.

Windbound tells the story of a young warrior named Kara, who is shipwrecked and washed ashore on what is known as the Forbidden Islands. Now, she must use her skills to survive on the island, which is inhabited by many creatures, some of which are hostile. Exploring the island in search of food and shelter will be critical to Kara’s survival, but she will also need to discover more about the island in hopes of finding a way home.

Throughout the game, players will create custom boats as they collect materials and set out on the sea. The game’s rogue-like systems also players to enter the procedurally generated world for new experiences across the multiple playthroughs.

The player crafts the narrative of the adventure as they progress through the world and make new discoveries. While finding a way home is the goal of the experience, it’s not going to be an easy endeavor.

The publisher released a gameplay trailer to give players a preview of the adventure’s survival systems. Additionally, players get a chance to see Kara in action as she makes her way across the island.
