Survival Adventure ‘Grounded’ Launches Free Single-Player Demo on Xbox Insider and Steam

Obsidian Entertainment is taking part in the Steam Games Festival by launching a free 30-minute single-player demo of their upcoming survival game Grounded – via Xbox Insider and Steam.

During the demo, players are able to choose a character and enter the world of Grounded at Sunrise. The demo will allow players to experience what it’s like to live at one centimeter tall. The demo will last one in-game day and is also timed at 30-minutes, but players can play as many times as they wish from June 16 through June 22.

If you aren’t a part of the Xbox Insider program, it’s pretty easy to get started. Players can apply from a browser or from their Xbox One menu.

Grounded focuses on multiplayer elements and has players exist in a giant world. Assuming the role of a kid, players are shrunken to explore environments, which brings a new perspective to maps. Gameplay will have players construct forts to hold off waves of ants as they explore the backyard and do their best to survive. There are several objectives to the game that players will need to meet in order to progress.

Grounded is scheduled to launch on Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access on July 28.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the game’s development.
