Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Get 35-Minute Livestream Focused on New DLC Fighter Later This Week
Nintendo announced that their brawler Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a Direct-style Livestream on January 16 at 6 am PT.
The Livestream will be hosted by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai. Sakurai-san will introduce the new character and then show videos detailing the latest addition to the roster.
The stream is to be held on the publisher’s YouTube channel.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the newest entry in the crossover fighter that brings together the biggest roster of fighters seen in the series. Players choose from a large pool of playable characters and then battle it out in various stages as they knock each other off the screen. The game is highly competitive, sparking a community of high-level players who attend tournaments.
Post-launch, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continues to grow as the development team works on new characters and stages to be added to the game. This new Direct will only build upon that. Recently, a collaboration with developer SNK’s Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury revealed the likes of the stylish fighter added to the game. In a sense, it could be anyone joining the roster.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
