Super Robot Wars 30 Announced for PC, PS4 and Switch with Asian English Release Confirmed

Bandai Namco has revealed Super Robot Wars 30 today during the Japanese version of the Nintendo Direct. The new game is part of the celebration of 30 years of the franchise. It’ll be available in English for Southeastern Asia territories on PC (Steam), PS4 and Switch in 2021.

Super Robot Wars is a series of tactical games that revolve around doing crossovers of big mecha anime and manga series. It also includes some games focused on original characters and robots, some of which were the only ones to officially release in the West. However, Asian English versions have been common for the latest titles in the franchise.

While details are still scarce on the game, there’s already a preliminary list of franchises that’ll be represented in the game. This includes Mazinger Z Infinity, Chōdenji Robo Combattler V, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar Final and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection. However, more are yet to come.

New info is expected on July 11 when a Japanese presentation will be held to celebrate the franchise anniversary. Check out the announcement trailer with English subtitles below:
