Super Retro Champ Revealed as Portable Console the Plays SNES and Genesis Cartridges

During CES 2020, My Arcade revealed their next retro console as the Super Retro Champ, a portable gaming device able to player SNES, Super Famicom, Genesis, and Mega Drive Cartridges on a single console.

The Super Retro Champ features a 7-inch screen that has a built-in rechargeable battery to offer up to 5 hours of playtime. The console allows owners to play the games portably or use the 2 included wireless gamepads to play in tabletop and TV mode. The console has an HDMI output that will enable users to play on any modern television. The Super Retro Champ also includes a built-in cartridge cleaning kit.

Additionally announced during the event, the company will release the Street Fighter II: Champion Edition Micro Player. Owners will be able to play through the title solo or connect with another Micro Player for head-to-head competition. The micro player is 7-inches tall with a 3.5-inch screen, which makes it a 1/10th replica of the original 1992 arcade cabinet. The platform features button/joystick switches and a widened control panel to accommodate the six-button layout of the original arcade.

The Super Retro Champ is priced at $109.99, and the Street Fighter II: Champion Edition Micro Player is priced at $49.99.

Both devices are available to demo at CES 2020.
