Sega announced that their monkey rolling puzzle series Super Monkey Ball will be getting a facelift with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 29 and a PC-via Steam release in Winter 2019.
Originally released on Nintendo Wii in 2006, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will bring all the chaotic puzzle rolling gameplay to modern consoles. The game will have updated graphics and optimized controls for each platform. Additionally, there will be a brand-new mini-game called Decathalon mode where players will need to complete a set of 10 mini-games in a row along with online leaderboards. The original game has 100 single-player stages which are all available in this release along with the additional modes.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will launch physically across all consoles and digitally when it releases on PC-via Steam.
To get players excited about the announcement, the publisher released a new trailer showing the game’s updated look in action. The trailer shows characters and environments, but who really cares, this is Super Monkey Ball we are talking about and we know that it is going to be fun.
