Super Mario Bros. Wonder 15-Minute Direct Announced for This Week
Nintendo has announced that a dedicated Direct for their upcoming 2D platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder will premiere on August 31, 2023, at 10 AM ET/ 7 AM PT. Fans can anticipate roughly 15 minutes of information about this highly anticipated adventure.
The game will feature a new adventure for Mario that brings him back to the 2D world. However, it seems the developers are pulling out the stops and creating insanely crazy stages for players to explore. There is also a co-op with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, and Toad available to play. If that’s not cool enough, there’s an Elephant Power Up, because why not?
This entry also marks the series’ first new 2D venture since the 3DS, so it’s been quite a while. Mario Maker 2 doesn’t really count, nor does the enhanced port of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Hopefully, Wonder lives up to expectations. Based on the limited footage we’ve seen, it’s definitely taking the presentation and stage mechanics in new directions.
We’ll keep you all updated on any significant news shared throughout this Direct.
