Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will be launching for Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2022

Mario + Rabbids was initially released in 2017 with some general surprise by Nintendo’s Mario joining Ubisoft’s Rabbids. The title came early in the Nintendo Switch’s lifespan and was generally well-received.

Gameplay involves tactical turn-based strategy. The player moves their three-character team along a battlefield grid to fight against several quirky enemies. While you had the choice of both Mario and Rabbid characters, you were required to have at least one Rabbid character in each team. Exploration was also a significant, if linear, focus, though this upcoming sequel aims to improve upon this aspect drastically.

We received the opportunity to play this game early, so check out our thoughts if you’re curious.
