Super Alloy Crush is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam, marking the latest release from developer Alloy Mushroom and publisher Neverland Entertainment. The Mega Man X-inspired 2D action title launches at $11.99, with a 10% discount available for its first two weeks. In case you missed it, check out our preview of some early gameplay.
This release follows earlier announcements confirming the Early Access date, with the current build offering multiple modes, including Story Mode, Battle Rush, and Ultimate Challenge. Players can also pick up the game as part of a discounted bundle that includes Super Alloy Ranger alongside other indie action titles like Gravity Circuit and Berserk Boy.
Set in a sci-fi setting centered around the search for the treasure planet AE-38, the game follows two playable Cosmic Hunters: Muu and Kelly. Each character brings a distinct combat approach. Muu focuses on fast-paced melee combat with aerial combos using energy claws, while Kelly uses a mix of firearms and close-range techniques with a higher skill ceiling.
Combat is built around responsive inputs and chaining attacks, with an emphasis on reading enemy patterns and reacting quickly. Boss encounters introduce a stance-breaking system that rewards well-timed aggression during openings. Players can also team up in two-player co-op across all modes.
The roguelike structure is tied to a deep customization system. Each character has access to more than 50 combat abilities, along with hundreds of upgrade chips that modify movement, survivability, and attack properties. Elemental interactions also play a role in combat, as machines are weak to electricity while biological enemies take more damage from fire. Environmental hazards can be used to deal additional damage during fights.
Additional systems include support mechanics such as revive checkpoints and allied assistance during battles. More characters and updates are planned during the Early Access period.
