SRPG Visual Novel ‘Sunrider 4: The Captain’s Return’ Gets February Release Date on PC

Publisher Sekai Project announced that the third mainline entry in the tactics and visual novel hybrid Sunrider series by developer Love Space, Sunrider 4: The Captain’s Return, will launch on PC via Steam on February 8, 2023.

Sunrider 4: The Captain’s Return is the sequel to Sunrider: Liberation Day, which continues the story of the Sunrider saga as Asaga, Ava, Sola, Icari, Claude, and the other former members of the Sunrider crew resume their war against the forces of the Crimson Fleet.

This entry will feature new characters along with returning villains that aim to stop the heroes.

Gameplay features over 40 turn-based battles between visual novel scenarios. Players can equip and customize their party in this redesigned battle grid system. Further, the story aims to shed new like on the main protagonist making their way out of exile and reclaiming their name.

If that’s not reason enough, players can also put time into the dating system, where new abilities will unlock. The game also features a difficulty option if players just want to focus on the story.

Lastly, there is partial Japanese voice action, and controllers are supported at launch.
