Emotional Visual Novel ‘Summer Pockets’ Gets Screenshots of Completed Official English Translation
Visual Arts Key announced that they have finished localization on their emotional visual novel Summer Pockets coming to PC-via Steam in the west in 2019, but maybe 2020.
The team shared that they have submitted the game to Steam to set up the localized store page. In the event that everything is cleared and quality is met, the team will release the game to western fans.
Released in Japan in 2018, Summer Pockets tells an emotional story of a boy named Hairi Takahara, who travels to this island Seto Inland Sea after his grandmother passes away. The death was tough him and he uses the island as a way to escape dealing with the loss. During his stay, he meets four girls who each make an impact on through their unique personalities and views on life. Each of these girls is also on the island for a particular reason and through the story, they’ll all figure out more about themselves and hopefully find what they were looking for.
Many of the staff members who worked on games like Clannad, Little Busters!, and Angel Beats!, are working on this title so expect an emotional roller coaster of intense storytelling. Additionally, I should mention that this is an all-ages visual novel.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game has not been confirmed for the west at this time.
