GameTomo announced their newest game titled Sumire, in development for Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam; no release date has been provided.
Sumire is an indie adventure that tells the story of a girl named Sumire. The game takes place over one-day as Sumire seeks to finish a list of essential tasks provided to her by a mountain spirit, however, if she doesn’t complete the job before night falls that the town will disappear.
Gameplay features narrative quest-driven mechanics where players make their way through the world and interact with various creatures and objects. Players can explore through a variety of environments to uncover collectibles, bonus items, tests of skill, and other challenges, some of which are hidden, some not.
Quests are both big and small and given to the player by forest creatures, each with their own personality. Players can choose whether to take or refuse the quests, but this should be a reminder that as the day progresses, some quests won’t be there when she returns. Throughout the day, the scenery will change depending on the time.
More information will be provided soon. For now, the developer released a short trailer showing Sumire and a few moments of the gameplay.
