Suikoden III Fan HD Remaster Announced

YouTuber 1vierock has announced a fan-led remaster for the Konami JRPG Suikoden III. This same modder has worked on HD remaster mods for several other titles, including Xenogears, Dawn of Mana, The Alliance Alive, and more.

Regarding the Suikoden III HD Remaster, two videos have been posted showcasing before and after shots of the original game and the results of the HD remaster project. It honestly looks pretty great, as the assets look far clearer.

There is currently no planned release date.

Suikoden III was initially launched for PlayStation 2 in 2002, featuring a narrative seen from three perspectives via the Trinity Sight System. While not at the same level of popularity as Suikoden II, this entry is quite beloved.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam at an unknown time. These titles, especially the second one, were defining and celebrated JRPGs for their time.
