Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Shares English Gameplay Clips of Soul Eater & Five Squirrel Attack
The official English Twitter account for the Suikoden series shared two new gameplay clips for the upcoming and highly anticipated Suikoden I & II HD Remaster.
Firstly, a brief clip of “Soul Eater” was shown off following a poll where fans answered which rune was their favorite. It looks decent, but the bee-buzzing sound effects are a tad much. Hopefully, that’s toned down prior to launch. Secondly, a similar poll was conducted for Unite Attacks, with “Five Squirrel Attack” winning. A clip of that maneuver was then showcased.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2023, with no current precise release date.
These enhanced releases will boast the following features:
- All background illustrations have been upgraded to HD
- Updated effects breathe new life into the pixel art animation
- New environmental sounds effects to immerse yourself in this fantasy world
- Battle SFX are also now HD and add a new level of realism
- Newly added auto-save
- Battle Fast Forward
- Conversation Log
