Castle Sim RTS ‘Stronghold: Warlords’ Reveals New Siege Weapons in Trailer

Firefly Studios revealed new siege weapons for their castle sim RTS, Stronghold: Warlords, coming to PC-via Steam later in 2020.

The new siege weapons revealed include the Fire Arrow Cart, Rocket Launcher, and Siege Tower. The Fire Arrow Cart can be used against unarmored units such as Tribesmen or Archers. The Rocket Launcher has been designed after depictions of 14th-century Chinese texts. This tool can be used to destroy an enemy’s castle defenses and shatter towers filled with Archers. The Rocket Launcher can be built at a Siege Camp or requested from a friendly Dragon Warlord.

Lastly, the Seige Tower is a returning weapon that allows players to latch onto enemy walls and pour troops onto the ramparts. The towers are made to protect units until they reach the walls, but they do have weaknesses.

Stronghold: Warlords is a strategy RTS that allows you to recruit, upgrade, and command AI lords. Players take control of Warlords, who can boost strategic prowess and unique perks, characteristics, and upgradeable abilities. Players are able to command the Warlords to work for their industry, fortify borders, and forge weapons. There are campaign missions and multiplayer battle modes available.
