Firefly Studios four new units coming to their castle sim RTS, Stronghold: Warlords, coming to PC-via Steam on January 26, 2021.
The developer reveals Ninja, Warrior Monk, Imperial Cavalry, and Auxiliary Cavalry. Ninja troops are able to set traps along with the ability to hide the Lord from enemies. The Ninja class focuses on espionage with skills to cause high damage at range using shuriken attacks along with invisibility and wall calling abilities. Unlike other entries in the series, this Ninja class is more hit and run.
Warrior Monk is a well-rounded soldier with light armor and quick movement. This unit is built for rushing enemy forces and repelling rival special units like the Imperial Guardsman. Imperial Cavalry is equipped with armor, swords, and steeds. They are a bit slower, but they cause heavy damage. Lastly, the Auxiliary Cavalry are faster moving than the Imperial units and designed to break through defenses and allow for stronger units to make their way in.
Stronghold: Warlords is a strategy RTS that allows you to recruit, upgrade, and command AI lords. Players take control of Warlords, who can boost strategic prowess and unique perks, characteristics, and upgradeable abilities. Players are able to command the Warlords to work for their industry, fortify borders, and forge weapons. There are campaign missions and multiplayer battle modes available.
