Streets of Rage 4 Reveals DLC Adding Three New Playable Characters

Dotemu announced that the Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games’ co-developed brawler Streets of Rage 4 would soon receive free and paid DLC.

The publisher details Mr. X Nightmare as paid DLC that adds three new playable characters and a Survival game mode. The DLC will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC later this year.

The newest character, Estel Aguirre, is one of Mr. X Nightmare’s three fighters. She decided to join the other fighters after appearing as a boss in the base game. Her moves include hard punches and spin kicks.

Further, the Survival mode will receive more details soon. However, players can expect to fine-tune the experience using character customization and additional weapons.

The free update coming adds New Mania+ difficulty and a training system to help players refine their skills.

Streets of Rage 4 continues the Sega action brawler series as players choose between playable characters Axel and Blaze as they walk the streets and kick ass. The character models and visuals were headed by the team who put out 2017’s Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake as they bring their unique retro style shading to a new series.
