Streets of Rage 4 Reveals “Cherry Hunter” and Release Platforms in New Gameplay Trailer

Dotemu and revealed new information about the co-developed Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games’ upcoming brawler Streets of Rage 4.

The developer has finally revealed that Streets of Rage 4 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, they didn’t stop the reveals there. Also shown today is a new playable character, Cherry Hunter, who will join Blaze Fielding and Axel Stone in their endless fights.

Cherry Hunter is the daughter of Adam Hunter from the original Streets of Rage. She was trained by her father and Axel, which is where she learned self-defense at a young age. She had dreams of following her dad’s footsteps and becoming a cop until she discovered her love for music. Now, she plays in an electro progressive rock band around Wook Oak City. While she may not look it, she can take on anyone who gets between her and her goal.

Additionally, the developer revealed a new trailer showing gameplay and environments.

Streets of Rage 4 continues the Sega action brawler series as players choose between playable characters Axel and Blaze as they walk the streets and kick ass. The character models and visuals were headed by the team who put out 2017’s Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake as they bring their unique retro style shading to a new series.
