Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Gets Release Date With Gill Joining the Roster Next Month
Capcom announced that the definitive version of their tournament fighter, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, will launch on PlayStation and PC on February 14, 2020.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is the most robust version of the fighting game to be released. This edition includes all of the content available for Street Fighter V excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes, and Capcom Pro Tour DLC. Basically, this includes everything from the original release and content from the Arcade Edition, which is 40 characters, 24 states, and over 200 costumes.
Players will be able to fight across multiple single-player and multiplayer modes including Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Team Battle, Ranked Match, and Casual Match.
Also joining the roster is Gill, the leader of the Secret Society. Who will be available in the Champion Edition, but owners of Street Fighter V can pick him when he launches in December. Gill is a master of both pyrokinesis and cryokinesis, allowing him to control fire and ice with perfect elemental balance (hence his outward appearance). Typically plotting behind the scenes, Gill is making his return to the series since he joined in Street Fighter III, as he sets out to fulfill the prophecy that the Secret Society has coveted since ancient times.
