Yuri Visual Novel ‘Strawberry Vinegar’ Gets Trailer Revealing PS4, Xbox One, and Switch June Release
Ratalaika Games announced they will publish the ebi-hime-developed slice-of-life visual novel Strawberry Vinegar on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in June.
Originally released on Steam in 2016, Strawberry Vinegar tells the story of a cynical and grumpy nine-year-old girl name Sakuraba Rie. Sure, she cares about her classmates, but she doesn’t have a single friend.
However, that’s when a demon appears from hell inside her kitchen to steam a tray of cookies. Following this chance encounter, the two girls become friends, which blossoms into maybe something more.
Strawberry Vinegar features choices in dialogue that affect the tone of the characters and their relationship. Players will find plenty of CGs between the two girls, but the game mostly focuses on the food. Yes, a lot of the game’s focus is around sweet food and friendship. What could go wrong?
The publisher mentioned the title is too big to release on PlayStation Vita, which probably has to do with the limitation of the Vita cartridge.
Currently, Strawberry Vinegar holds a Very Positive review score from PC players.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the game’s official release date.
