Steins;Gate Elite Gets New Story Trailer Showing Characters and Gameplay

Spike Chunsoft released a new trailer for their science adventure title Steins;Gate Elite, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 19.

The gives players a preview of the gameplay featured in the visual novel, that blends anime cutscenes with the story of Steins;Gate. Players must travel through multiple timelines as they discover the correct path, but that’s not so easy. Throughout the game, players will interact with their cell phone and make choices that will change the course of the game.

Steins;Gate Elite is a retelling of the Steins;Gate visual novel with added anime scene to bring new life to the game and characters. Players will need to make choices throughout the game that will put them in different routes towards one of the game’s multiple endings. Furthermore, the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version will include exclusive content, Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram and 8-Bit Adv Steins;Gate Elite, respectively. Each adds a new story and gameplay elements from a handful of well known visual novel developers.

Digital pre-orders are now open on PSN and the eShop.

Author’s take: This game is showing some pretty awesome design directions that I can’t wait to play through again. I loved the original so this will prove how timeless this story can be.
